CARPE DIEM was created by the established and highly respected team of Jack Sarin and Cooper/Queenship Yachts. Jack Sarin elaborated on his distinctive clean lined house structure and proven hull shape that have been so successfully utilized by numerous Pacific Northwest builders including Westport, Westship, and Crescent. Cooper Queenship builds sophisticated custom one-off and semi-custom motor yachts in British Columbia. Their up-to-date fiberglass construction techniques, expertly engineered machinery and beautifully executed interior woodworking have earned this builder worldwide recognition.

A 23.6 foot beam provides a tremendous amount of interior volume which accommodates four comfortable staterooms and two separate crew staterooms without compromising the ideal positioning of the weight of machinery and fuel. CARPE DIEM'S full width saloon takes full advantage of her considerable beam. The 'country kitchen' arrangement forward complements the yacht's casual and family oriented layout and décor.

Active families and charterers will appreciate the yachts easy access to the water, large boat deck that can accommodate larger tenders and water-toys and copious amounts of storage for all the equipment for fun in the sun.

Accommodations

The master stateroom and three guest cabins below deck are capable of sleeping as many as nine. Each cabin has its own head and shower. The crew quarters are forward, and can sleep four, with the option to sleep a fifth. The engine room is aft.
At deck level the main saloon is aft with bar and formal dining. Forward is the country kitchen with attached informal dining.

The raised pilothouse is a half level up, and located between, the saloon and the country kitchen. Up another half level is the flybridge.

Flybridge

There is access to the flybridge from the raised pilothouse and from the stern deck. Center aft are a set of Mathers engine controls for stern-to docking. On the port side aft is a 1995, 15', Novurania 450 RIB with 75 HP Mercury outboard engine. This RIB has a fresh water shower, VHF radio, Humminbird depth finder, and a new cover and seat cushions (2001). Opposite and on the starboard side is a matched pair of 1995 Yamaha 700cc Waverider jet skis. Between them and on the centerline is the Nautical structures davit with extension boom for the tender and jet skis. The jet skis have been painted white to match the yacht.

Forward and on the starboard side is the Jennaire barbeque grill, refrigerator and a wet bar. A radar arch carries the full width of the flybridge. Further forward is 'L' shaped seating port and starboard. There is a large table to port with a sun umbrella and a small table to starboard. Three more sets of Mathers engine controls are at the forward end of the flying bridge: one each on the port and starboard wings, and the third amidships at a complete helm station including navigation equipment.

Pilothouse

The pilothouse is located down a half level and forward of the flying bridge. To port is a chart table with navigation, Navtex and weatherfax electronics. Aft is a bench seat for the on watch crew. Forward are the navigation, communication, control and alarm instruments. To starboard is a curved stairway leading to the main deck level.
Foredeck

The teak side and foredecks are protected with high bulwarks and handrails. At the forward end of the coach roof is an ample bosun's locker. Just forward of amidships there are entry doors port and starboard that lead inside to a central foyer.

Galley

All the way forward at deck level is the 'U' shaped galley with an adjoining informal dining area. To starboard and forward of the galley is a curved stairway accessing the crew quarters. Forward is the master stateroom with king size bed, his and her bathrooms separated by a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower area.
Aft of the master on the port side is a guest cabin with one double bed and a single bunk bed above, and with ensuite bath.

Opposite and on the starboard side is the walk-in utility room with two washing machines, two dryers, and a utility sink with storage provided by wall hung and base cabinets. A large full height locker in aft bulkhead provides considerable additional storage.
